In modern astrology Uranus is seen as the planet which brings about sudden change and innovation.

On Sunday 26 April it moves into Gemini for seven years and although it spent a few months in that sign in 2025 it then retreated to Taurus - this time it's for real.

Gemini rules all forms of communication, so putting Uranus into Gemini suggests more growth in Artificial Intelligence.

Except that Uranus is renowned (or notorious) for bringing about the unexpected. So every example I can give of what Uranus in Gemini might look like (such as driverless cars, sudden internet outages, outsiders winning sporting events) might be wide of the mark. Despite the attempts of astrologers to predict everything under the sun it is simply not possible and the world is all the richer for containing the unexpected - and putting astrologers in their place!
